The four-year-old chihuahua recently gave birth to three puppies, which are only one-week-old and need their mother to survive.
Owner Tracy Neal said her dog Ellie went missing in Glenfield Park about 1am.
“I took her out to the loo, and she was just out the front when a car went through really fast and she was just gone,” Ms Neal said.
“Normally, she’d just go straight back inside, but she might have gotten a fright.”
Ms Neal said the three puppies have lost a bit of weight without their mother.
“I’m feeding them now on formula every two or three hours because they’re not quite with it,” she said.
“These pups need their mum, so, if you see her, please get in contact with me or any of the pounds or vets.”
