The community performed five dances in the Wagga Marketplace on Friday to both increase its profile and also to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Amit Gupta, the general secretary of the Wagga Indian community, said members wanted to support a number of charities, among them breast cancer.
The five dances performed outside Big W involved community members of all ages.
The Wagga Indian community now numbers at least 1250 people.
After the Bollywood-style performance, the next event will be a large-scale blood donation, scheduled for Saturday, May 26.
Mr Gupta said plans are also well advanced for a Bollywood night in July.
“We want to give back to the wider community as well as increasing people’s awareness of us,” he said.
In March, the Indian community created a spectacle of fun and colour when it celebrated Holi, the festival of colours for the first time.
The event typically celebrates spring and draws on various mythologies and Wagga’s inaugural Holi was held at Apex Park.
Holi is aimed at uniting the community.
