Long regarded as Wagga’s home of live music, the Fitzmaurice Street venue has hosted big acts such as Shannon Noll, The Angels and The Screaming Jets.
According to Greg Howick from Fitzpatricks Real Estate, the hotel’s licence will be removed from the site to allow for redevelopment into a retail, restaurant and office space.
“Compared to the Fitzmaurice Street of old we now have a vibrant precinct which compliments the attractive heritage presentation and encourages the establishment of small business,” he said. “The property is well-suited for splitting into multiple tenancies which will allow investors greater security of income. “Considering the ‘Riverside’ apartment development currently before council, the northern part of the central business district is fast mirroring the central living and lifestyle of our larger cities which shows great confidence in the city.”
Positioned on the corner of Fitzmaurice and Kincaid Streets, the Home was built in the early 1900s and includes a commercial kitchen, first floor apartment and function area in addition to the main bar and stage.
