It’s on again! Batlow CiderFest 2018. Looking for a great time? - check your diary for Saturday May 19.
Come to Batlow CiderFest, a street party that is guaranteed to invigorate and revitalise.
You’re bound to have friends and family members who could meet you in Batlow for a fun day.
Picture this: chairs and tables in a street closed to traffic, two entertainment stages in operation all day, quality cuisine from Aussie and ethnic food stalls, top quality merchandise from a variety of stalls and (most importantly) a fabulous selection of Australian ciders to taste and take home.
A special release “FestCider” at 6.5 per cent alcohol, has a slightly higher alcohol content than most ciders (4.5 per cent), but is guaranteed to complement the “Pork Apple Cider” pie which will be introduced into the food choices for the day, alongside Batlow’s own gourmet sausage the “Batwurst”.
Modelled on the traditional German sausage and affectionately known as “Batlow’s Wurst”, it is sure to tantalise the tastebuds of even the most discerning foodie; and organisers will ensure that supplies will be plentiful on a day when gourmet foods will be in big demand.

Batlow CiderFest has grown from a crazy idea into a much-anticipated annual event.
Fantastic autumn weather, skillful event organisation, enthusiastic volunteers and “excidered” attendees will help to put a smile on your face. If that doesn’t work, maybe the “Wacky Apple Tarts” in colourful costumes will help you unwind to the point where you can recognise you’ve had a great day.
Accommodation and getting there
Look into booking accomodation in the Snowy Valleys with shuttle buses running between Batlow and nearby towns.
The Batlow showground has ample camping and caravan sites and is walking distance to the event.
Shuttle buses will run early and late and throughout the day, to ensure you have plenty of time to socialise and arrive back at your accommodation safe and sound.
The day
Get your cider fix from 10am to 4.30pm. Entry is just $5 (under 18 free) with tickets available at the gate.
