Bubnich entered an early guilty plea and accepted a two-game suspension after he was reported for rough conduct in GGGM’s round one loss to Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes.
Bubnich was reported for a sling tackle in the second quarter that left MCUE opponent Charlie Chambers concussed.
It was deemed careless, high impact and high contact.
He will now miss the Lions’ first home game against Griffith on Sunday, followed by the game against Wagga Tigers at Robertson Oval on May 5.
The tribunal will still sit on Thursday night to hear the case of MCUE’s Trent Cohalan after his report of rough conduct was referred directly to the tribunal.
It left GGGM schoolboy Matt Knagge with a broken jaw in two places.
