The proposed development constitutes the demolition of two existing buildings on Day Street (near Bolton Park) and consequent construction of eight two-story dwellings on the original block.
Four submissions in objection to the development were received by council and were predominately focused perceived loss of privacy, loss of light, parking and impact on value of property.
Though elements of the development breach the Wagga Wagga Local Environmental Plan, refusal of the application by council could result in an appeal process in the Land and Environment Court.
Other key topics of discussion will include the potential for markets along Baylis Street and other major CBD locations.
