Jive Dancing and Shes Sporty both proved too strong for their rivals after long breaks.
Kennedy was pleasantly surprised by their performances.
“Considering we were only coming to trial so I’m pretty happy with that,” Kennedy said.
Jive Dancing was making her debut for the stable and surprised Kennedy with a tough win to start off the program.
“She went better than I thought,” he said.
“It was a good time and they both should be improved on that as they haven’t had a lot of work.”
While her stablemate did it tough, Shes Sporty sat at the back of the field before delivering a powerful finish.
He’s now looking to head towards NSW Breeders Challenge heats with the pair next month.
He expects to have them and Rocking heading to Coolamon’s Carnival Of Cups meeting next week.
Meanwhile Corbie Abbey extended her lead in the Wagga Horse of the Year race with another win on Friday for Yanco trainer David Eurell.
She’s now won five of her last six starts with four of the wins coming at Wagga.
