Reddies only won two games last season, but can equal that after three rounds with a victory against Griffith at Beres Ellwood Oval on Saturday.
Michael Barnes and Brad Crawford are set to comeback from injury in the front row while Leon Post is also back into the second row.
However there are concerns over captain Dean Smart’s fitness after pulling up a side complaint in the narrow win over Wagga City last Saturday.
After his surprise appearance Baden Power is out, but he is expected to be in a red jumper later in the year.
Fisher believes it will be a big boost for the club’s young back line.
“He’s very good for the young kids in the backline and they just picked his brain on Saturday after we played,” Fisher said.
“He’s more than happy to help us all out with a bit of coaching as well so we’re looking forward to that.”
With no Power this week young half Theo Heinjus has moved to five-eighth with Lachie Grey to make his debut at halfback.
Grey was set to play last week last week but withdrew after breaking his nose in second grade to start the season.
Fisher is looking forward to giving him a shot.
“He did very well in second grade the other week, is a very solid defender and has a really good pass on him,” he said.
While pleased with how his team defended last week to score the win, it is something Fisher believes can still improve.
It has been a focus during training this week
“Even though we did well in the later stages against City we still let in too many points,” he said.
“I’ve been working on our defensive pattern.”
The Blacks have been up and down to start the season.
They scored a good win over Wagga City to start the season before struggling against Ag College last week.
With that in mind, Fisher is looking to stick to what has been working for his club.
“We are not over confident,” Fisher said. “We will just go out there, stuck to our structure and our game plan as see how we go.”
Griffith coach Craig Morriss wants his team to get back to playing simple football.
He said they couldn’t afford to make the same mistakes against CSU.
“It will come down to ball control and discipline,” Morriss said. “We need to stop throwing the miracle passes and giving away silly penalties and just go back to playing simple footy.”
The Blacks will be without Api Alofi for at least the next month with a broken hand with James Kanaley coming in.
The game will start at an earlier time of 2.15pm.
