The Colts were named community cricket club of the year at the recent Cricket NSW awards night.
They are now in the running for the Cricket Australia awards.
There was a strong Riverina flavour at the state awards.
Phil Jenkins was named community coach of the year for his work with the Thunder Girls League in Wagga.
Wagga’s Tony Hackett was named community match official of the year while Temora was named the junior cricket program of the year.
Tumut Junior Cricket Association’s James Butt was named volunteer of the year while the Tumut Bull Paddock net upgrade was named community facility project of the year.
Meanwhile, Keenan Hanigan had a big night at the Colts presentation night.
He won the first grade bowling, all-rounder and players player awards.
Dave Bolton took out the batting honours.
Fourth grader Harry Pascoe took overall honours as the club’s leading runscorer and all-rounder on points.
He also won the batting, all-rounder and players player awards for his grade.
Brett Limbrick was the leading wicket-YThtaker for the club.
Saxby Harrison was named junior clubperson while Nat Bishop was senior clubperson.
Scott McLachlan and Nathan Roberts were named joint winner of the best performed senior player with James Beattie the awarded as the most enthusiastic and dedicated.
