The Hawks got off to a winning start to the season and Wagga United coach Travis Weir expects his new-look team will be in for another big test.
“It doesn’t get any easier after Sunday either as we have to play Leeton and Tolland so it is a nice challenge to start the season,” Weir said.
“But if you want to be up there in the top end you have to put in some consistent performances against the good sides.”
United had 13 players make their first grade debut last week and with so many new faces in the team Weir believes it will take time for things to come together.
He thought team fluidity was lacking against Junee but they’ve spoken about getting back to the basicsas they try to find a new style.
Weir is also expecting brother Lincoln to be more dominant this weekend.
