Chigwidden was relegated to second grade to start the season, but is back in to cover Rory Bonner.
With the new recruit unavailable, and after some time in the role during the win over Ag College, he comes straight back in.
Chigwidden also takes over the goal kicking after Euan Bonner missed six of his 11 attempts last week.
Sam Hobbs will make his return through second grade.
He missed last week due to suspension from the 2016 grand final, but Dan Selmes will stay at halfback.
Coach Richard Skellern missed round one, but expects a tougher challenge from Albury despite the Steamers suffering a big loss to Leeton
“I was surprised at Albury as I thought they had picked up really well in the off-season,” Skellern said.
“They have a good front row and some good technicians in that side.”
