But that was not the case for one lucky Wagga event planner.
The White Top Venues team scored the opportunity of a lifetime when they were asked to take on Prince Charles and Princess Camilla as clients during their stay in Gundagai.
White Top Venues’s owner Sophie Walsh said the project was one they certainly would never forget.
"We were honoured and truly delighted to have been asked to assist with hosting His Royal Highness and the Duchess in the region,” Ms Walsh said.
“It was a great experience for our team, and we will definitely not forgot it anytime soon.
“There were many other local businesses involved in making their stay truly memorable, and its a huge credit to the Wagga Wagga and Gundagai regions!"
The Daily Advertiser understands the royal couple stayed with close friend and hedge-fund billionaire Sir Michael Hintze, at Deltroit Station near Tumblong.
The royal couple then travelled through Wagga to board a flight to the Gold Coast, where they represented the Queen at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on April 4.
