An action-packed two days of celebrations saw live music, dance performances, food stalls, jumping castles, rides, games, and even an Easter egg hunt across Saturday and Sunday.
Organiser Leanne Frow from Wagga City Council said the Botanic Gardens had brought so much to the community over the last five decades.
“Whether people are celebrating weddings or anniversaries or just having fun on the trains, which are also celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, the Botanic Gardens have just been such a good meeting place right on everybody’s back door,” Ms Frow said.
“Three have been so many connections made here over the years between so many different people – at the moment we have lots of ethnic communities who are gathering in the gardens and having a great time together.”
