Temora’s Joseph Gorden Newham started banging on a former friend’s door about 10pm on March 21, stating “I’ll fight you with whatever you want”.
The 32-year-old pleaded guilty to intentionally and recklessly destroying property and intimidation in Wagga Local Court on Friday.
According to documents tendered to the court, Newham left a hole in the door which had been pushed in and dislodged, later telling police he was drinking Canadian Club earlier that day.
Newham told the court he wanted to plead guilty to save time and had always worked hard.
“Stuff it – at the end of the day I’m going into custody anyway,” he said.
“What a waste of bloody time.”
Newham was sentenced to one month prison and will be eligible for release on April 21.
