The American will replace Pene Tamate, who has pulled out on his move to the Diesels.
Eichner was part of the USA’s team during the Rugby League World Cup and was with Toronto Wolfpack last season.
Junee president Simon Vanzanten is looking forward to having him on board.
“He plays second row and front row,” Vanzanten said.
“He’s a big physical player.”
He replaces Tamate after family commitments prevented him from the move.
Eichner had a number of links to Junee before deciding to join on.
Not only did he play alongside Tui Samoa as part of the World Cup but was also teammates with Hayden Diggins in the US with the Jacksonville Axeman.
They played together and are set to reunite this weekend.
Eichner will play in Junee’s trial against Berry on Saturday while Diggins is in the running to occupy the halfback position vacated by Cameron Hands.
Hands is unlikely to play for the club last season after travelling back from Sydney for games last year.
While not discounting a move back before June 30, Vanzanten believes he’ll be a big loss to the club.
“We probably haven’t seen the best of him as he’s only very young and is starting to mature,” he said.
“He’s going to be a good halfback but there is not much we can do if he isn’t living here.”
However the Diesels have continued their recruitment drive and also welcomed Tim Vatabuli to the club.
The former Southcity and Brothers player was set to head to Canberra club Woden Valley this season before changing his mind to follow a new career path.
Vanzanten said he’ll be a good addition to their back line.
Fijian flyer Rusiate Kaliseiwaqa has also joined the Diesels.
With speed to burn on the wing he’s another exciting addition to the club.
“He’s pretty quick and looking the goods,” Vanzanten said.
