NSW Police’s rural crime prevention team attended the Armdale Park stud at Marrar last week after receiving reports of the theft of 85 poll dorset stud ewes.
After attending the property, detectives believe the sheep – aged from two to five years – were stolen from the Berry Jerry Lane property in a three-day window between February 22 and 25 this year.
The Rural Crime Prevention Team are coordinating resources to investigate this theft and believe it was targeted “due to the timing and high quality of the stock”.
Anyone with information is urged to contact their local police station, Detective Senior Constable Paul Clancy of the Rural Crime Prevention Team at Cootamundra on 6942 0005 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
