Along with Young’s Gary Kimber (Corleone Kid), the Roys represent local hopes chasing the $10,000 winner’s cheque.
“It’s a hard race, the favourite (Millionaire Max) is going to be very hard to beat,” Lorraine said. “Saying that, Charlie’s Chance has drawn good (box one) and he’s a Wentworth Park winner. Gunshot Ridge is a quicker dog, but it just all depends on the race. I’d have liked him to have drawn eight.”
Gunshot Ridge (17 starts for five wins) dead-heated with Corleone Kid in their heat last week, in 26.20 seconds. It was the equal-second quickest time, behind Millionaire Max’s 26.06. Charlie’s Chance was second in his heat, running 26.32 seconds.
Sunday’s 12-race meeting at Temora begins at 6.07pm, with the feature at 8.21pm.
