About 10am on Wednesday police found the plants with an estimated street value of $650,000 at Willigobung, about 50 kilometres south of Tumut.
A 46-year-old man, who police will allege was watering a crop of cannabis plants at the time, was arrested at the Batlow Road property.
Police siezed 301 mature cannabis plants, 10 hydroponically grown, and one kilogram of dried cannabis leaf.
The man was taken to Tumbarumba Police Station and charged with cultivating a prohibited plant larger than a commercial quantity, supplying cannabis and enhancing an indoor cultivation plant for commercial purposes.
The man appeared in Wagga Local Court on Thursday and was refused bail.
He will next appear at Albury Local Court on May 7.
