Last weekend’s match against Yass came down to the wire and Leeton will be using that experience to hold their nerve on Sunday at Mark Taylor Oval.
The Wolves have made some changes to their side, with all-rounders Jarred Lane and Jarryd Day back in the team after being unavailable last weekend.
Steve Campbell has also been selected, offering up another bowling option for captain Nathan Carn.
“It will be handy having those guys (Lane and Day) back in the team and Steve is another spin bowler we can use … he can also put runs on the board too.”
Carn hadn’t caught a glimpse of Wagga’s team at the time of going to print, but was certain they would be bringing over a strong side to contest the coveted Cup.
“They are always strong … they’ve got some good players,” he said.
“It will be an interesting game.”
Leeton showed last weekend their line up is capable of getting the runs on the board after setting Yass a solid target of 202 to win.
The pitch is expected to again be run friendly on Sunday, but Carn wasn’t fazed if he were to win or lose the toss.
“I don’t think it’s going to matter too much,” he said.
“Matt (Dedini) has been putting a lot of work into it. I think it’s going to suit everyone.
“We just need to play our own game and go from there.”
Should the Wolves keep the Cup in their possession they will only need to win once more against Holbrook to hold onto it over the off-season.
“That’s definitely the goal,” Carn said.

“Hopefully we can do it, but it’s still one game at a time.”
