Selena Joan Lyons, 50, launched an immediate appeal “on all grounds” after she was sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment with a non-parole period of nine months in Wagga Local Court this week.
Lyons was ordered to repay the $24,187.25, predominately stolen through false travel claims.
Following a hearing that spanned several days and about 20,000 pages of evidence – Lyons was found not guilty of four counts of using her position dishonestly to gain advantage in November last year.
She was found guilty of 24 counts of the same charge.
Lyons repeatedly denied rorting RivMed throughout the hearing, pleading not guilty to all 28 of the original charges.
