Police arrested a 31-year-old man in Tatton on Tuesday morning, February 13, after he allegedly broke his partner’s nose.

The woman was taken to hospital and is seeking ongoing treatment following the attack on Sunday at an address in Cochrane Street Kooringal.
“The male’s struck the female a number of times in the face causing a severely broken nose,” Chief Inspector Andrew Spliet said.
He was charged with grievous bodily harm and will appear at Wagga Local Court on April 4.
On Wednesday morning, February 14, police charged an 18-year-old woman with malicious damage after she allegedly punched holes in plaster walls in her family’s Lalor Place home.
Chief Inspector Spliet said the rampage followed an argument with family members, who contacted police. He encouraged other victims to do the same.
“We’ve seen these matters can escalate and people can end up seriously injured or deceased as a result,” Inspector Spliet said.
“If you’re experiencing domestic violence there are a number of services available to you. If you’re afraid to leave your location or the environment you're in, contact the local police and we can put you on to those referrers.”
