Coming off a last start win at Albury, Roll One Over has won four of his last five starts.
He did plenty of work to win first up for his new stable, impressing the Junee horseman.
“He showed some real good dash and has been working good as well,” Harpley said.
“Usually when you use all your energy early and end up last again that is the end of that, but when he did get out within 50 or 60 metres you did think ‘he’s got these’ as that is how quick he really ran.”
Harpley has never trained a winner of his hometown feature and didn’t have a runner in the original field but when the meeting was postponed he’s got a second chance.
Roll One Over drawn barrier two in the T-Line Steel Farbrication Pace (1770m) on Tuesday and will be driven by Jordan Seary.
However this time around one of the main danger is another of Harpley’s team in Rubies For Tash.
The mare has won eight races, including two of her last three, but as a C1 pacer is the lowest assessed horse in the race.
Harpley will take the drive on the Group One performer but believes whoever gets the better run will come out on top.
“Roll One Over was pretty impressive at Albury and had been going good before that,” he said.
“He’s got the draw over Ruby so there is probably not much between them.
“They have both drawn good and are going good and the distance suits.
“Roll One Over seems like he would be good over any distance, has gate speed and feels like he has high speed.”
Harpley has a strong hand throughout the nine-race card.
Coming off two placings Miss Gold Fortune looks well suited in the LD & LT Sheather Contracting Pace (1770m).
While drawn wide, Harpley is pleased she’s coming off the front row.
“Miss Gold Fortune went pretty good at Albury,” he said.
"She still went (a last half in) 57.5 and got home in low 28s and I think the 1700 suits her better and that’s a suitable fields.”
Harps is also coming off a placing at Albury and has drawn two in the Havashed Industries Heat 3 (1770m).
With a final to be run at Wagga next week, Harpley is hoping he wants to race this time around.
“He’s worked really good and hopefully he has his mind back on the job again,” he said.
“He was sorta daydreaming the whole way at Albury.”
Tiwanaku is also coming off a last start placing while Whiskiesonthebeach is looking to back up his success at Temora on Friday.
Whiskiesonthebeach broke through for his first win at start 26.
He’s only been placed once before then, back in May, but put in a tough effort to take the victory.
He has again drawn the second row but is yet to be penalised for the win.
The first race is at 6.10pm.
