Turner pleaded guilty to presenting Malicious Fella to race at Canberra on June 18 when not free of a prohibited substance.
However Harness Racing NSW stewards did not impose a penalty after being satisfied the detection of arsenic was consistent with the ingestion of cooper chromium arsenate (CCA) treated wood.
Evidence presented confirmed wood samples obtained from Turner’s property contained arsenic.
Turner was cautioned that he must take all reasonable measures in future to manage his training establishment and horses.
Malicious Fella was disqualified from the race.
