The doctors were anticipating heartbreak, but instead Wagga's most famous quadruplets - the Ceeney siblings survived.
This week they will start high school.
The Daily Advertiser has followed the lives of Priyah, Harry, Ruby and Baxter since they were born in 2005.
The four siblings said they were nervous, ahead of the big transition.
But none were as emotional as their mother, who said she couldn’t believe how fast her babies had grown.
“It’s crazy,” Ms Lawler said. “I blinked and my babies were teenagers … I’ve been very emotional.”
She said high school was the big unknown for her and her children.
“They’ll be going in as a team though,” Ms Lawler said. “At least they will be together.”
A very proud single mother of five, Ms Lawler said she was excited for the next few years as her children became teenagers.
