Among the best performing teams so far has been the under 14 boys, a side which features local lads Cooper Stormonth, Kai Watts and Fawaz Shani-Baqi.
They are sitting at 1-2 but registered a stirring 4-1 win over Queensland Metro on Tuesday.
The under 17 girls, featuring Tolland premiership winner Christina Grauer-Kompos, have also held their own, claiming one win and one draw from their first four contests.
Wagga Futsal president Sam Gray, who also coaches the under 15 girls, said the local contingent of players had been improving as the tournament wore on.
“It’s always challenging for country teams because of the limited preparation, but the progression from game to game has been amazing,” he said. Gray also praised their fighting spirit.
