Residents will have the rare chance to hear a selection of the finest string musicians in Australia perform under one roof this week, with the annual Riverina strings camp now in session.
Organiser Jeff Donovan said 115 students would be learning from the best in the business, across an intense week of tutorials, lessons, rehearsals and performances.
“It’s the second biggest year we’ve had,” Mr Donovan said.
“It’s certainly grown from last year.”
The hard work of students, playing guitar, violin, cello, viola, double bass and fiddle, will culminate in a grand finale at CSU’s Joyce Hall on Saturday, January 13.
Mr Donovan said professional concerts – performed by tutors – would also be on at Joyce Hall every evening except Tuesday.
