Orchestrated this Christmas by Year 9 geography students, the school’s annual appeal will help Anglicare fill hampers which will be distributed at the Ashmont Community Centre.
Teacher Ryan Robertson said the students had co-ordinated the collection and promotions and even encouraged some friendly rivalry between home rooms.
“The students have really worked hard to make sure we had a broad range of donations beyond canned food,” he said.
Kristy Daley from Anglicare said more donations were welcome, particularly gifts which could go to teenage boys, as the need for help was high at Christmas time.
