Fernleigh Road ambulance station gets official opening

After months of being in operation, the ambulance station on Fernleigh Road will be officially opened on Wednesday.

A ceremony with dignitaries, including member for Wagga Daryl Maguire and NSW Ambulance Commissioner Dominic Morgan, and community members and school children will be in attendance. 

The new $4.4 million Wagga NSW Ambulance Station has been constructed as part of the NSW Government’s $122 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.

After the plaque unveiling and ribbon cutting from 10am, guests will be invited to tour the facility and join in activities during the facility’s open day until midday.

School children and members of the community will have the chance to participating in a range of activities designed to educate them on paramedic care and Triple Zero (000).
