The former vice president, who has been with the club for more than 20 years, was formally locked into his new role at the club’s annual general meeting last week.
Windsor says he sees himself as a “caretaker president” and considers identifying and training a potential new president as part of his role.
“We have a lot of new members and it’s important that some of them are able handle the work involved with potentially taking over as president one day,” he said.
Windsor replaces former president James Vickers, who stepped down in June to pursue a position with Cycling NSW.
