The Association made the statement shortly before The Daily Advertiser went to press on Monday, but said the situation would be reassessed on Tuesday.
Young Guns and Don Tuckwell’s Audio are scheduled to kick off the action.
Young Guns coach Mark Wade said his side would need to need to avoid its usual lapses if it wanted any shot at knocking off the competition’s most experienced team.
“Our second-half defence will be crucial,” he said.
“We’ve really slacked off in that area lately.
“We just need to stay tight and move across well like we do in the first-half.”
The young side will be without Ella McFarlane due to state duties, but regains Hayley Wade, who missed five weeks with a finger injury.
The welcome returnee is expected to bring some much-needed experience and vocal leadership back to the side.
Wade believes his side has been severely hindered by missing its traditional preseason training regime with most players still busy with other sports at the time.
But with all teams making finals this season, he said it was never too late to turn things around.
“We still have the ability to win the competition from fourth-place,” he said.
“Every team is beatable and it always depend which team actually turns up.
“As long we’re firing by the time finals rolls around, we’ll be ok.
“The main thing with our girls is making sure they’re mentally prepared because they’re so young.”
Wade added that his side would take a lot of confidence from last week’s narrow 5-4 loss to AKW Jets.
The team of youngsters had been consistently challenged by AKW and lost to them 7-4 in their previous clash in early November.
In the other women’s game, Jets will take on Bar Up Bullbars.
AKW Jets are coming off a 5-4 victory over Young Guns, while Bar Up Bullbars will be looking to bounce back from a 4-2 loss to Tuckies.
In the men’s competition, Casuals will take on Cobras.
Having climbed - or slithered - out of the competition's cellar, the Cobras sit in fourth spot and are just four points behind second-placed Casuals.
On the adjacent field, Katana Security Wizards will do battle with Quolls.
Wizards downed Casuals 6-5 last week, while Quolls are returning to action after sitting out due to the bye last week.
