Every Christmas for the past seven, he and wife Sylvia Choong have added to the decorations outside their Ceduna Street restaurant.
For Mr Sauw who has owned Tom’s Takeaway Store for 11 years, it’s all part of the fun of the festive season.
“It just looks better,” he said.
“It’s fun for us and the customers, and for the people who go past.”
Mr Sauw and Ms Choong have hung strings of lights all over their cafe building and added inflatable figures outside, including an enormous Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, which can be seen from nearby Northcott Parade.
“We see people drive past and slow down to look, while others come up and tell us they look really nice,” Mr Sauw said.
“Tommy just really, really loves Christmas. He loves putting up all the decorations,” Ms Choong said.
