Senior Constable Nicole Forrest won the Customer Service Excellence Award for her commitment to the Wagga and Junee community as a general police officer, with particular attention to the welfare of victims of crime and Wagga’s non-English-speaking refugee community.
“I’m incredibly grateful to receive this award, and not just to receive the award, but because it’s indicative of the support I receive myself,” Senior Constable Forrest said.
Senior Constable Forrest thanked her colleagues, especially Sergeant Maggie Deall, whom she said has been a constant source of support, guidance and friendship.
“Maggie’s support is mirrored by that of my duty officers and it goes all the way up to my commander, Mr Noble,” Senior Constable Nicole Forrest.
“I’m just stoked to be receiving this award.”
Superintendent Bob Noble said her win wasn’t a surprise.
“I had a good feeling for it. Poor thing, she was in so much pain from a knee operation. I had to help her onto and off the stage,” Superintendent Noble said.
The police awards were held at a gala function in Sydney at the weekend.
