Staying financial and relevant in an evolving landscape is vitally important to the Wagga RSL Club.
This is what triggered the club to invest in the Wagga RSL Motel & Apartments in 2000.
The expansion started as a joint venture and is now 100 per cent owned and operated by the RSL.
The accommodation boasts 46 rooms and two serviced apartments which were added 18 months ago.
“We wanted diversification so we’re not totally reliant on gaming and bar sales,” general manager Andrew Bell said.

Having the ability to offer a “one stop shop” is a major advantage thanks to the accommodation.
Customers who are using the function centre can stay and attend conferences or events at the RSL.
The accredited 4.5 star quality accommodation is managed by Brendan Richardson and Bronwyne Groom.
The motel offers a relaxed stay in the heart of Wagga opposite the Murrumbidgee Turf Club Racecourse, five minutes to the central business district and 15 minutes to the Wagga Airport.
All motel patrons can enjoy the solar heated pool with barbecue facilities. Guests can also go next door to the RSL Club and make use of the charge back facilities available.
