The couple own and operate Wayne Carter Homes.
The small business is focused on quality and customer satisfaction rather than quantity.
“Wayne works hard and is very particular,” Peta Carter said.
“It’s always good to be recognised with an award.
“Winning is an indication and confirmation that the judges also think it’s done well.”
Wayne Carter Homes doesn’t typically build villas but have completed a few projects over the years, making the win more impressive.
“It’s always exciting for the owners to have their property win,” Mrs Carter said.
The two three-bedroom villas were designed by Wagga designer Glenn Sewell and are located in central Wagga.
“They were conducive to the older area of Wagga and fitted in well,” Mrs Carter said.
“All the fixtures and fittings were chosen by the owners and were beautiful.”
The quality workmanship, design and energy rating were also contributing factors which resulted in the win.
Both villas also had a spacious grassed front and backyard which most villas and townhouses are missing. They are virtually like separate houses. The owners completed the project as an investment and both of villas were rented quickly.
