TWO new exhibitions, Crossing Streams and Slow Book Haiku, will run concurrently in Narrandera Arts and Community Centre from tomorrow to October 29. Crossing Streams presents local scenes in haiku and photography and interpret sound. Slow Book Haiku is a textile collaboration between Kelly Leonard Weaving and Dr Greg Pritchard.
Crossing Streams is a national and international effort. According to curator Jason Richardson, “musicians from around the world wrote music based on poetry describing locations around Narrandera”.
Narrandera-based musician and composer Fiona Caldarevic will feature in an opening performance. Dr Pritchard will lead a writing workshop afterwards. Peita Vincent will conduct a writing workshop to close out the exhibitions.
Open: 11am to 4pm daily.
