The bitch has two wins and three placings in her last five starts and Wagga trainer Chris Glascott is hopeful she can return to winning ways.
With the meeting falling on Friday the 13th, any greyhound who wins wearing the black number seven rug will trigger a $100 donation from the Wagga Greyhound Club.
There are 11 race on the card, but Tana’s Angel shapes as one of the best chances to get the job done.
While Glascott is wary of Peter War’s Sixteen Monkeys, he is happy with how the bitch comes into the race.
“She has been going very well and she tries really hard,” Glascott said.
Her best winning form has been from inside boxes, but Glascott is not too concerned about her starting alley.
“I reckon she runs better from the outside but it all depends on how much speed is on,” she said.
“If there is heaps of speed it is hard to get across.
“I think she is better from six to four (boxes) as she doesn’t run right on the rail.
“She runs off it a bit.”
She is also an emergency for the feature on the card, the Ladbrokes Odds Boost 5th Grade final (400m) but after a third in her heat, Glascott believes she will be better suited in the lesser race.
He also has Luka’s Choice racing in the first of the night.
He’s looking to break his maiden status at start 16.
Glascott is hoping he’s on his best behaviour.
“He gets into a lot of trouble,” he said.
“We probably wants to be in the one, two or three box not out wide.
“I’ve only had him a short while he he gets into a lot of trouble out wide as he is a mad railer.”
Luka’s Choice has drawn box eight.
