It’s bound to be controversial, and it was certainly no easy task, with a host of players stating strong cases for their selection, particularly when it came to midfielders.
The premiers, Marrar, head the list with five players, while Temora and East Wagga-Kooringal each have four inclusions.
There were some outstanding seasons from individuals, contributing to many memorable team performances.
In the end, only 22 could be named on the teamsheet. The criteria included consistency and importance to their team’s performance, while an effort was made to select players in roles they generally filled.
If the strength of the Farrer League is to be illustrated, it can be shown in some of the names of players who have missed out, as much as those who have gone in.
