Originally slated as an official Gala Day, organisers decided to transform the day into a ‘come-and-try’ affair for budding youngsters, as Wagga Blaze undertook the running of the event.
45 kids participated throughout the action-packed day, which saw four half-court games being played across Bolton Park’s two courts at any one time.
Basketball Wagga president Lesley Lashbrook said she was thrilled with how the event unfolded, saying the concept had proved effective in introducing new players to the sport.
