The Bulldogs started Wagga’s new Twenty20 competition with a nine-wicket win over Kooringal Colts at Geoff Lawson Oval.
Batting first, the Colts struggled to make any inroads against the strong RSL attack.
Their would have been disastrous if not for the effort of Kaylem Fitzpatrick.
He was the only Colts batsmen to score more than 15, almost single-handedly giving the Bulldogs something to chase as he finished unbeaten on 46 not out.
Josh Beer was the next best with 13.
Nick Grant finished with 2-8 off his four overs.
In response, the Bulldogs eased to victory.
Todd Henderson led the way, finishing unbeaten on 40, and was well supported by Ethan Perry (22 not out).
They got home with an over to spare with only Ben McFarlane (14) dismissed by Kooringal.
