An enormous truck presumably carrying industrial mining equipment was escorted through the major intersection, causing minor delays as the vehicular spectacle unfolded.
Off-duty policeman and RFS member Scott Sanders captured the scale of the incident with a series of pictures taken with his new drone.
“I was aware that the oversize load was coming through town from Sydney with a police escort,” Mr Sanders said.
“So I thought it might be a good time to take the drone up and have a look around.
“It looked like the truck was carrying some sort of big electrical equipment off to the mines.”
Though the pictured image sets the two trucks on a collision course, Mr Sanders said the entire operation ran smoothly.
“It didn’t end up holding traffic for too long actually,” he said.
“The police and wide haul escort went either side and the truck just passed straight through the roundabout without too much fuss.
“No troubles at all really but was good to get some shots.”
