Member for Riverina Michael McCormack and Temora mayor Rick Firman OAM have had a bet on the result, all in the name of charity.
Firman is obviously right behind the Kangaroos as they chase a fourth flag in six years.
McCormack, who spent the first four years of his life at Marrar, has backed the Bombers to win.
The pair have agreed on a $100 wager. If Temora win, McCormack will donate $100 to the Temora and District Education Fund.
If the Bombers salute, Firman will donate $100 to Marrar Public School.
Both men are excited for Saturday’s grand final.
“We’re so pumped about this very, very big grand final,” Firman said.
“Temora, of course, were blessed to win three in a row and we’re thrilled to be back there again.”
While McCormack wished both teams all the best, he has tipped a drought-breaking premiership for the Bombers.
“I won’t have to be forking out because Marrar’s probably going to win,” he said with a laugh.
