Sutherland enjoyed another big weekend with a winning double at Griffith on Saturday, followed by another winner at Gundagai on Sunday.
Yawkey Way ($4.40) and Pay The Ones ($3.30) gave Sutherland success on Cup day at Griffith.
Hangin’ With Willy ($2.60) then made it three wins from his past four starts with a win in the Benchmark 60 Handicap (1400m) at Gundagai.
It puts Sutherland at the top of the country premiership with nine wins, two ahead of Kris Lees, Paul Perry and Brett Bellamy.
A big crowd turned out for the Griffith meeting, where Great Panache ($8.00) took out the Cup for Jerilderie father and daughter combination Phil and Brooke Sweeney.
Gun Trace ($7.00) continued his great recent form for Wagga trainer Doug Vickers with another win, this time at Gundagai on Sunday.
