From Monday, dailyadvertiser.com.au is refreshing its site to continue meeting the expectations of its growing audience.
For almost 150 years the DA has been Wagga’s most trusted source of local news and community information.
The changes to the site mean The Daily Advertiser is now faster and easier to read on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
Designed to be accessible on any device, the enhanced dailyadvertiser.com.au has adaptive features that make it simple to get your favourite local news on the go, wherever you are.
The sleek design and streamlined functions are optimised for faster page and story navigation and a more engaging user experience, plus easier sharing on your social network.
Drawing on the Wagga-based news team led by The Daily Advertiser editor Ross Tyson, dailyadvertiser.com.au will continue to deliver the regular local news, sport, comment and community updates Riverina audiences have come to expect and trust. The site’s new advertiser opportunities will allow MIA businesses to reach dailyadvertiser.com.au’s massive online audience.
The digital-first publishing technology used by The Daily Advertiser since 2015 is at the forefront of newspaper and website production worldwide, and allows local journalists in the field to publish news online as it happens.
South-West NSW group managing editor Paul McLoughlin said the revamped dailyadvertiser.com.au would continue to provide a proudly local perspective on the region’s people, places, issues and events.
“We’ve changed the way we present and publish news for our digital audience,” Mr McLoughlin said.
“But our commitment to providing your favourite local reading isn’t changing, including coverage of breaking news and important council and community issues.”
“Local news plays an important role in helping to keep people in regional areas connected, and our local journalists take great pride in telling stories for the communities where they live.”
Visitors to dailyadvertiser.com.au can submit sports results and letters to the editor, place an advertisement and read the classifieds.
The print edition of The Daily Advertiser is published Monday to Saturday and the cover price of the newspaper remains unchanged.
