The pair work together and won a reserve grade premiership for Gundagai last season, but now chance to do it again on the bigger stage.
It would be a feat with plenty of feeling if the Tigers can finish on top of Southcity at Equex Centre.
“A chance to do that with both my brothers, although on separate years, would be massive if we can get it done,” Chris said.
With the birth of twin boys Harley and Phoenix last year, Chris decided to take a step back from playing to concentrate on his growing family.
While he returned to the fold later in the season he couldn’t quite make it into the first grade team.
Now back at five-eighth this time around, the 30-year-old is excited about the chance to add another premiership to his tally.
“I’m probably looking forward to this one the most,” Chris said.
“I think I’ll probably appreciate it the most after having a bit of time off last year.
“Coming back through reserves was really good – I got to play with my younger brother and win a premiership – but it is not quite the same, reserves and first grade.
“It is still a great feeling, but first grade is the pinnacle.
“Coming back this year I told James (Smart, captain-coach) I still had a bit to offer and was keen to get in there and have a crack.
“Although it could have come at a bit of an expense, losing a few boys through injury, I am back in their now, am loving it and I’m really excited.”
While Chris is heading into his sixth first grand final, Saturday will be a whole new experience for his little brother.
Joey has played in the last three reserve grade premierships for the club and finally gets the chance to step up to the top grade.
it is something he can’t wait for.
“I’m very excited,” the 24-year-old said. “I’ve been loving the experience with the first graders this year.
“I’ve only played with reserve grade the last couple of years in the grand final so it good to get up in the top grade and experience what they go through.”
Called up onto the wing to replace the injured Dylan Cole in the preliminary final last week, the youngest of the Roses is expecting Cole to come back into the starting side to take on Southcity.
Regardless of where gets his chance, he’s just looking to savour the opportunity.
“Anything can happen with the injuries we have had this year so that is why I am there I guess,” he said.
