Wagga’s Apex and the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s 4th Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch at the Wagga RSL Club has become one of the most sought-after tickets in town, and happily it’s raising considerable funds
In four years, the Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch has raised over $100,000.
“We’ve done university scholarships for training dedicate prostate nurses in the Murrumbidgee area, and we’ve financially supported prostate cancer support groups around the area, so it’s pretty good work,“ said Biggest Blokes Long Lunch organiser and Apex president Andrew Roberts.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting Australian men after melanoma and there’s no cure.
The lunch has been so successful its going to be rolled out to Apex clubs around Australia, with the aim of raising $1 million in 2018.
