And she was a person who would help anyone do anything, according to her dad Daniel.

Miss Lloyd, 19, died at the weekend after the ute in which she was travelling in overturned near West Wyalong.

A 23-year-old man suffered critical head injuries in the accident and was flown to Canberra Hospital. Two 22-year-old men were taken to Orange hospital with fractures and abdominal injuries.

One has since been discharged from hospital in Orange while the other is in a stable condition.

Miss Lloyd’s friends and family have used social media to pay tribute to the second-year apprentice mechanic at Thomas Brothers Toyota and a long-time member of the Riverina Lions.

They have shared memories of Miss Lloyd and expressed their sympathy to her parents Daniel and Tracey, older sister Zoe and younger brother Aiden.

In a post on The Daily Advertiser’s Facebook page, Zoe Lloyd wrote: “She was so special, the most amazing, stunning, incredible little sister I could ever ask for or have. Thank you everyone for the kind words.”

Hundreds of others have posted messages of support to the Lloyd family, with many sharing their own memories of Sarah.

General manager of Thomas Brothers, Colin McGill, said Miss Lloyd would be remembered as a good apprentice mechanic with a big, infectious smile.

“Sarah loved being a mechanic and she loved football,” Mr McGill said.

Lions teammate Amy Coote said the Lloyd family had a long association with the team and Miss Lloyd’s involvement dated back long enough for her to have been a Lion cub player.

Ms Coote said Mr Lloyd had coached the team for two seasons, so his daughter had become known to teammates as “Little Lloydy”.

“Sarah had a bright, bubbly personality that could light up a room,” Ms Coote said. “She wore no. 17 and played on the wing. She was such a determined player. 

“Sarah held her position well. She was strong. If she got knocked down, she would get back up again.”

Ms Coote said she and her Lions teammates were planning to form a guard of honour at Miss Lloyd’s funeral.

“The club is united and have stuck together since we heard the news,” she said.

“Hopefully this will give the girls something to aim for in the finals. We can try to win for Sarah.”
