The South West Champion of Champions competition is slated to begin at Jim Elphick Tennis Centre on Sunday, with the winners progressing to the state championships.
The event brings together the top eight juniors from each age group across the region, following the Junior Development Series which ran from February to August.
Barellan’s Jane Haeusler will be hard to beat in the under 14 girls after winning the NSW Country Championships and Wagga’s Ella Case also looms as a strong challenger after finishing in the top three of her age group.
Leon Hemmings is shaping up as one of the favourites in the under 14 boys, while Griffith’s Brady Clifford and Goulburn’s Elsa Ralph were the best of the region’s under 16 boys and girls respectively during the year.
Competitors will come from as far as Albury, Young, Yass, Goulburn, Hay, Tumut and West Wyalong.
The opening ceremony will commence at 8:30am, with play to start immediately afterwards between 8:45am and 9am.
