Wagga RSL CLub employees Brad Ryan, Heidi Phillpot and Tsering Wangchuk left on Sunday after months of training and mental preparation for the annual Kokoda Youth Leadership Challenge.
The challenge involves an arduous 10-day trek across the original Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea, presentations at significant battle sites and discussions on sacrifice, courage, mateship, endurance and leadership, based on the achievements and sacrifice of Diggers.
“Wagga RSL Club is very proud to sponsor the trio and are looking forward to watching them grow as they face the challenge ahead,” club chief executive officer Andrew Bell.
