As signs flash for school zones across Wagga, police are reminding drivers to slow down.
It comes as the city’s children and teenagers return from holidays.
Inspector Robert Vergano said officers would be patrolling roads around schools across the week to make sure residents kept to the the 40km/h speed limit.
“We’ll be targeting these areas heavily today and tomorrow and across the school term,” Inspector Vergano said.
“We’re asking drivers to be aware and to slow down.”
