The event will feature elite runners from across NSW and Victoria, with last year’s marathon and half-marathon winners, husband and wife combination Mick and Sara Donges, verbally stating their intention to defend their respective titles.
The weekend will also feature competitors of all abilities, with races from the 1.5km kids event right up to to the full marathon.
Organiser Peter Fitzpatrick said the event promised to be one to remember.
“It’s something which has developed a real fair-type atmosphere with a lot of marquees and so much going on,” he said.
“It has become a fantastic event for Wagga.”
About 100 runners have already registered, but Fitzpatrick said the majority of athletes traditionally sign up at the last minute.
